Following Liverpool’s triumph over reigning champions Manchester United on Sunday, Everton’s youth coach Kevin Sheedy took to Twitter to have a public swipe at ex-Bluenose boss David Moyes.

Sheedy, the Everton academy coach, made some explosive comments on the social network including his claim that “In my 7 years (at Everton,) Moyes showed no interest in our youth team.”

Aside from bashing Moyes for his supposed lack work with the kids, 54-year-old Sheedy also took a pop at the manager’s tactic’s at Manchester United.

Sheedy, the former Northern Ireland international, is an Everton diehard, having played 314 games for the Toffees from 1982 to 1992, during which time he bagged 77 goals.

@OliverKayTimes: #MUFC have won as many points at home as Norwich this season (21), one more than Palace. They've scored as many goals at home (18) as Fulham

The fun is over, he's f*cking up far too spectacularly for this to continue.

I'd be quite happy for a 3 game winning streak that includes a 3-0 win over Olympiakos for the sake of the greater good but sadly I can't see it.

Not looking good for TeamMoyes.

Well it was fun while it lasted.

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie and coach Phil Neville's young sons are training with the academy players at rivals City, according to reports.

Though neither child has officially signed with City, the Manchester Evening News claims seven-year-old Shaqueel van Persie and Harvey Neville, 11, are not part of the club their fathers are directly involved iwith, opting for the blue half of the city instead.

A club source told the newspaper that there is "quite a bit of surprise about it."

The source added: "You would have thought that if they were going to be with anyone it would have been United."

Van Persie was the Premier League's top scorer last season, while Neville joined David Moyes' coaching team at Old Trafford in the summer, having spent eight years at Everton with the Scottish manager. Neville had previously been at United from the age of 18.
