Diaby back in full training

Abou Diaby is set to miss Sunday's Community Shield clash with Manchester City, after suffering yet another injury setback.

The injury-prone Arsenal midfielder missed almost the entirety of last season with a knee problem, making his only appearance in their final game against Norwich City, and looked set to a return to the first-team fold.

He returned for the Gunners in their first pre-season friendly against Boreham Wood in July, but is believed to have picked up the hip problem during their US Tour game against New York Red Bulls.

Diaby should be the new word for injury probe players, "Arghh I think he's a Diaby"

welll..

Bad news again?

Nah.

He played full 90 minutes with the U21 yesterday. :Y: :Y:

He played very well spraying long passes left right & centre .  We need to utilize this guy this season even if its  1 game a month.  Ideally he would have suited the City game tomorrow. When he has played the top 4 teams we have looked solid  in the middle of the park.

A decent run of games from him would end wilshere's career.

Fingers cross this is a turning poin in his career.

considering the lacklustre options of arteta/wilshere/coquelin in a holding position id be tempted to throw him in qualm

this reminds me, it pisses me off that now arteta is fit the media and probs wengz is reporting he is a shoo-in to start, when Mat Flam was our MOTM and only goalscorer in the same fixture last season

He looked good (pause) the other night.

As I said before wenger should use him at least 1 or twice a month. Especially for big games.  But word is wenger wants to convert him to a DM (playing deeper). Lets just hope he can stay injury free apart from the occasional knocks.

Feel sorry for him, if anything this season was a chance for him to show any team anywhere that he could still kick a ball in the hopes of securing a contract elsewhere at the end of the season. I hope he does a Muamba and takes up a training role or some other position within the club. Always had love for Diaby.
