Black British role models

See you saying you are going out with women of specific west African heritage for cultural reasons makes sense. I don’t have an issue with that nor do I believe anyone else should. Reading the blanket statement black irked me a bit but thanks for the clarification.

Can I get some clarification on ‘Becky’ because I have a pictured image of a low class white female. No prospects etc etc. Or is it all white females?

I can see successful black men with caucasian partner as a symbol of success. We all know about conditioning we have seen the research with the black and white doll, to an extent I think the same applies.

Not listening to someone talk about racism because they date a caucasian person in nothing but ignorance

Respectfully there is no such thing as the BLACK community

End of the day we do not have a long journey in this lifetime and we do not know what is in the next. Love who you want to love be happy make the most of your life.

Happiness is the key to life that is the only message I want to spread.

Dealing with becky is different to wifying btw.

And I'm sure they feel the same way.

I don't think its any different. Just something we tell ourselves to soothe the subconscious nagging. This half in business is bullshit.

lol reminds me of American history X where edward norton is in jail with the skinheads and he sees them fucking with the latinos.

The difference is clear to me. Young men have (should have) a rooster of women, not all are wobos as long as you live in the west.

When you want to get serious you filter accordingly, my preference being a wobo. I don't live my life in absolutes.

There is a big difference between being a fan of someone and them being your role model

My son will know the difference

A role model is a person whose behavior, example, or success is or can be emulated by others, especially by younger people. The term "role model" is credited to sociologist Robert K. Merton, who coined the phrase during his career. Merton hypothesized that individuals compare themselves with reference groups of people who occupy the social role to which the individual aspires. An example being the way fans (oftentimes youth) will idolize and imitate professional athletes or entertainment artists.

The real reason for this topic:

Is it fair to say Black British people haven't achieved much in Britain comparatively to our US (unfair as they've been black communities in the US much longer), Canada or even in European countries such as France or Holland or are Idris Elba and Jamal Edwards all we can muster as examples? WOW

You wonder why certain communities are doing better than ours. The fundamentals boils down to there culture and family unit.

bruv

you think a bunch of Asians would even be questioning and debating the concept of marrying one of their own?

I don't see the point

No WOWO is making my match day squad of 18

I used to have six WOBO (galaticos)on rotation minimum now I am easy with a Craque and two pretenders to her throne.

But you can't compare blacks to asians for so many reasons.

But especially a wifey, as this is a race where they are still arranging marriages ffs.

There is little difference when your a child between being a fan and them being a role model. Infact probably none. You lot have been kids before right?!

If my child was a fan of Theo Walcott I'd be aware he is going to use him as a role model or be a fan of what he does, and I am fine with that, as he sees Theo Walcott 3 times a week kicking ball for 90 minutes his behaviour good or bad isn't going to affect my upbringing of him and distort the morals I'd have put in him every day.

I don't know why you lot are so caught up/being pedantic on this - role model phrase.
