Yes pre-season in the long run means nothing but as he clearly stated he means pre-season showed that the squad and players selected yesterday are capable of a much higher level of performance.

To clarify, I think he meant yesterday was a off day/bad day at the office.

Personally I'll keep my oppinions to myself untill I see what happens in the remainder of the transfer window as my thought on the squad have already been aired.

Pre-season showed an improvement in our philosophy and performances. As the list of players either injured or not fully fit rose to around 10(at least half of those of players would've been in the starting 11 and one of the 3 players off the bench vs Swansea) it was obvious that was gonna have a negative effect on our overall performance and that was noticeable vs Liverpool, Valencia and finally Swansea.

If things didn't improve in a few months after players have returned and new faces have been added to the senior squad via new signings and promotions from the reserves I'd be worried but right now I ain’t worried bout nothin'

And fuck that fuckboy Moyes for talking to the press about he wanted to sign Ronaldo, Bale and Cesc. Their individual moments of brilliance wouldn't have been enough to save his dead, negative tactics. Man had the cheek to say he didn't get enough time to succeed or fail. If we gave him the full 6 years of his contract we be slugging it out in the Johnstone's paint trophy.
