EastEnders star Richard Blackwood made intimidating calls to a 14-year-old boy after becoming embroiled in a playground dispute.

The muscular 43-year-old went over the top after learning the teenager had threatened to gatecrash a relative’s birthday party where Blackwood was the doorman.

The actor, who plays bad-boy Vincent Hubbard, sent a string of scary phone messages to the youngster that sounded more like a script in the BBC soap.

In one call Blackwood warned: “Right, so I am letting you know straight, man to man.

“You best show up at that party, bring whomever you’re going to bring, but you best show up because I am now coming there waiting to see you.

“If you think you can threaten her, and you think that can walk and think that everything is nice and hunky dory, I’m telling you, you can laugh at what I am saying to you.

"But I want to see you on that day.”

Dodgy: Blackwood plays a police informant in EastEnders

Blackwood’s heavy-handed behaviour emerged just days after he was all smiles on the red carpet of the National Television Awards in London.

He was up for a gong for his character Hubbard.

The dodgy Walford businessman, married to Kim, is at the centre of a sinister storyline in which he is exposed as a police informer with underworld connections.

But off-screen it appears Blackwood’s battles are more juvenile.

His bizarre intervention caused outrage among parents of other children who were surprised to see him getting involved in a dispute over a teenagers’ party.

Blackwood made a series of menacing voice-recorded messages to the 14-year-old and more than 20 of his pals.

In the calls – heard by the Sunday People – he says: “If you are really about that life like you wanna play because guess what, I’m about that life.

“So if you’re really about it, do it. Lemme see you that day.

“We don’t even need to exchange no more words. I just want to see you on that day, see how much of about it you really are. No more talking.”

Later he raged: “You can hear that I’m not playing with you. You’re a child to me.

“If you think that she doesn’t have real people around her. She might live up these ways but her people are from real places that do real things.

“You’re not from that bruv so what I am saying to you is if you think that you are coming to her party, right, and bully up the place I will see you do it. I want to see you do it.

“Right, because her family are not like the type of family you think they are.

“Do you know what I mean? We come from a different place to you bruv.

“So please come down and try and do something to me. I want you to. That’s all I am saying to you.”

The messages shocked the youngsters who received them. One played it to his parents, who expressed their concern and later contacted the Sunday People.

One parent whose child was on the receiving end said: “This is a teenage squabble. They’re all nice kids really, so for him to be getting all aggressive like that came as a shock.

“It’s very intimidating. They’re just youngsters and he’s a fully grown man. He’s talking in those tapes like he’s filming a scene for the soap.

Fearsome: His underworld character in soap

“In the end it just made my own child feel quite uncomfortable and put her off wanting to go to the party because she was a bit scared about what was going to happen there.

“If Blackwood was genuinely concerned about an incident at school he should have raised that with the teachers there rather than taking matters into his own hands.”
