Had a situation where i had to pick up a stool (one of those science lab ones you have in school) 

3 of us chasing a guy trying and suceeding initially to stab a kid we were working with. 

 

Guess one of us should've just approached thr guy and kicked him in the nuts. Silly us.

Ive seen people disarmed (gun)

ive seen someone drop their knife

Ive even seen someone holding a knife get KOd 

but my general rule of thumb is create as much distance between myself and anyone weilding a knife with whatever i can... thankfully ive not been in any situations thats needed it in nearly a decade

and thats because the one time i didnt see the knife it tore through my back and now i know how that feels i wont be one of those have a go heroes
